Music from Romantics for Lovers, Past Present and Future

Recently we were featured in the Tampa Bay Times for our work in Ybor City at the Traditional Pub Crawl and the 71st Annual Fiesta Day celebration. We had rave reviews at the Naples Star Ball. The ROMANTICS are favorites with the Jazz Club of Sarasota and recently performed their Jazz Festival where we featured John Lamb who was bassist for Duke Ellington. We are performing at Vinoy Renaissance in St. Pete (High Jazz, Standards), Woody's River Roo (Traditional Jazz, Rock) in Ellenton and Valentine's day at Captiva Island. The ROMANTICS served as the house band at Coolinary on Main Street, Sarasota and Amore by Andrea (5 Star Restaurant) Longboat Key. We have performed at a variety of venues including , Tampa Museum of Art, Ringling College of Art & Design, Hilton Downtown, Tampa, Z's on Main Street, Harbour Island Tampa and Fat Tuesday at Duval's Fresh Seafood. I have also served as sideman for many regional bands and acts including Bare Facts (50's, 60's and 70's Pop), NuJazz (Smooth Jazz, Second Line, R&B), Stone Crab Steve Arvey (Beach, Blues, Rock), The Hoo Doos (Louisiana Jazz, Blues, Rock), Nexxlevel (R&B), Democracy (Reggae) and Smash (Rock).

WHERE ARE WE FROM?

I owned and performed with The Leon Merian Band (16-piece big band). Leon was a famous sideman and lead trumpeter for Elvis, Sinatra and The Burt Parks Orchestra where his 2nd and 3rd trumpeters were Doc Severinsen and Clark Terry. Leon was in fact replaced by Louis Armstrong on the famous Worldwide Ambassadors Tour
